Family evening tours

The tour is conducted exclusively in German.

Evening tour of the zoo

As the day draws to a close and dusk falls, the zoo reveals a very special side to itself. On selected summer evenings, the zoo stays open later and invites families to discover the animal world in the peaceful evening atmosphere.

At 5.30 pm, the guided discovery tours set off from the main entrance. Young and old alike set off on an exciting journey through the zoo, guessing together where the next stop will be and learning interesting facts about the animals’ sleeping and activity patterns. Which animals are just coming to life now? And which ones have long since settled down for the night?

During the tour, visitors can observe which animals are particularly active in the evening hours and which prefer to retire early.
