Information stand on frogs at World Water Day

A wildly exciting day all about frogs and water!

On 22 March, everything at the zoo will revolve around these croaking amphibians. We will introduce you to the colourful world of frogs, discuss their habitat and explain how important frogs are as indicators of the quality of our waters. Their habitat impressively demonstrates the connection between biodiversity and clean water, which is also reflected in the current EAZA campaign ‘Wetlands for Life’.

What to expect:

  • Information stand on frogs and their aquatic habitat
  • Presentation of the current EAZA campaign ‘Wetlands for Life’
  • Interactive knowledge transfer (puzzles, quizzes, games)
  • Painting station for young creative minds

Itinerary:

10am – Zoo guides provide interactive knowledge transfer.

  • Game: Who belongs to whom?
  • Puzzle: Which frog is real?
  • Quiz: ‘True or false’ in the frog edition
  • Information material on the EAZA campaign ‘Wetlands for Life’
  • All about Amphibian protection and Water conservation
  • Colouring sheets for creative minds

2pm – Dismantling of the information stand

➤ In case of bad weather, the information stand will be located in the Gibbon House.
