Construction/maintenance work

New: Southeast Asia animal community

A new group of animals has moved into the northern part of the zoo, between the Alpine ibex and the brown bear. The new enclosure is shared by Asian small-clawed otter, Visayan warty pig and Celebes crested macaque.

Construction project: Lemur Enclosure

Construction work is in full swing at the bird park. A new, walk-through lemur enclosure is being built. In future, visitors will be able to reach the enclosure via a wooden walkway around 100 metres long and a suspension bridge – and experience the zoo from a completely new perspective. Completion is scheduled for the end of the year.

Meanwhile the sitatungas and pelicans are housed in a separate enclosure.
